2012 AMBUCS National Conference In OKC

The 2012 AMBUCS National Conference will be here before you know it!

This exciting event will take place from July 11-14 at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel in Oklahoma City, OK. The hotel is offering a special room rate of just $125 per night for conference attendees. Also, the hotel has offered a special rate of $5.95/day for wi-fi internet access.

Magazine Correction: You may have noticed in your Spring issue of the AMBUCS Magazine mailed to your home that we listed the dates to the 2012 National Conference incorrectly... as you make plans to attend please note the correct dates are July 11-14.

Transportation: The Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel is 10 miles from the Oklahoma City/Will Rogers Airport (OKC) and 14 miles from the Oklahoma City/Wiley Post Airport (PWA). The hotel does not provide shuttle service, however the AirportExpress fee is $25 each way and taxi fare is $20 each way. If you are driving, we have secured a special parking package for the four days of the conference (Wednesday – Saturday) at only $3/day in the on-site hotel parking garage (if purchased, these will be in your conference registration packet). Valet parking is $25/day.

As you’ve probably read, our National President Rick Kerr issued a challenge to the membership to “Ask One, Bring One.” This effort asks members to encourage new and existing members to attend OKC this summer. Once they are there, they will begin to understand the value and importance of coming together for a fun-filled week of learning that will send each member home reenergized and ready to take on the next year. Plans are already in the works to provide another great year of general educational sessions as well as a second year of therapist sessions, eligible for continuing education credit.
