AmTryke Road Show

The AmTryke Road Show is a collection of events held throughout the year and across the country with the goal of creating awareness among therapy professionals of the AmTryke Therapeutic Tricycle Program. An AmTryke trailer full of equipment and adapted accessories is brought to therapy clinics, rehabs, children’s hospitals and VA’s. Each Road Show “stop” can include an in-service training and/or a bike day event. AmTryke Road Show dates and locations are published on the AMBUCS Calendar of Events: www.ambucs.org/EventsCalendar.

In-Service Training

During the In-Service Training, physical/occupational therapists are shown the latest equipment and adaptations in the AmTryke line. They learn about the AmTryke assessment form and evaluation process. Then teams are formed for experiential learning and perform evaluations. This can be offered for CE credit in many states and generally takes only 60-90 minutes.

Bike Day

An AmTryke Bike day is a one-half day event where adults, children and their families are invited to learn about AMBUCS and the AmTryke Therapeutic Tricycle Program. Free evaluations are provided by appropriate therapists and medical professionals. If funding support is needed, riders can then be placed on a local chapter or National Wish List to receive their own AmTryke.
