4th Annual Trek for Trykes
The Most Important Walk You'll Take This Year!
AMBUCS is planning its third annual Trek for Trykes walk-a-thon during the 2009 National Conference in Reno, Nevada. The event will be held at the scenic Virgina Lake Park on Saturday, July 18 starting at 7 AM sharp. Past National President Cynthia Young and 2008 Ambuc of the Year winner Carmela davis will be serving as co-chairs for this event.
Details:
- 5K walk and 1-mile fun walk
- Proceeds will help provide AmTryke® therapeutic tricycles for individuals with disabilties.
- The event is open to everyone: AMBUCS members, guests, friends, people of all ages and all abilities.
How to participate:
- To register for the Trek for Trykes, just note that you will be participating on the national conference registration form or contact the AMBUCS Resource Center today!
- Walkers are asked to make a minimum donation of $50 per person to participate.
- Walkers are encouraged to aim for a goal of raising $250 or more in donations.
- Donations are collected ahead of time so you can ask your fellow chapter members, friends, family, neighbors or anyone you know. Ask your donors to fill out a pledge form found in the walker handbook or donate to your on-line fundraising page!
