AMBUCS supports other Pepsi grant seekers

This past April, AMBUCS was able to win a $50,000 Pepsi Refresh grant thanks to the online voting of our members and supporters.

However, our quest to fund 100 AmTryke therapetuic tricycle for individuals with disabilities was not the only campaign that we believe would have a positive impact on the community.

Below is a list of other Pepsi grant campaigns that AMBUCS is now officially supporting:

November 2010:   Help the Ponca City, OK chapter build a playground for local children with disabilties

AMBUCS' Official Policy On Supporting Pepsi Refresh Campaigns:

National AMBUCS participation in a local chapter’s efforts for online voting contests will be limited to the following:

a. Only those voting contests that complement the National AMBUCS mission – creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities - will be offered support.

b. The Chapter must submit a written request to the AmTryke Grant Coordinator for assistance from National AMBUCS.  The chapter will be required to submit all necessary information required by National AMBUCS so a determination can be made to the appropriateness of the voting contest. Final determination will be by the National Board of Director’s Governance Committee.

c. If approved, the chapter’s contest will be posted on a special web page on the National Website and other social media sites managed by National AMBUCS.  The effort will be listed in the Leader and National Magazine if such inclusion is timely.

d. One National network wide email soliciting votes including covering all chapter contests will be issued no more than once per week. National AMBUCS may choose at its discretion to increase the support at the deadline after it has been determined that the local chapter has made a concentrated effort to properly promote the project and there is evidence that such solicitation could make a difference in the outcome of the voting.
